This is my mood board which I have created to show what features our Music video is going to include. I have combined together images such as the beach, drinking and car journeys. This all signifies that as a group we would like to document a road trip to the beach. These combinations are all conventions of our chosen genre, as they will represent the typical teenage fun style of experimenting with new things such as drinking and having a good time with their friends. In terms of Goodwin's theory, the visuals will not relate to the lyrics so much as the lyrics concentrate on the worries of spending money. We thought instead of trying to match exactly what the lyrics were saying, we thought that as a group we could concentrate on the opposite, which will show how we have no worries and will represent teenagers just having fun which will really relate to the targeted audience.
I feel that overall our idea is redundant. When you think of the Indie genre, you instantly think of fresh new things which the targeted audience may be doing with their friends which they then can relate to. for example, As we have chosen a road trip, this is something which they can instantly relate to as this audience would be passing their driving test and wanting to explore different locations. However, within our music video, there are some key entropic features that our music video idea may contain. Most indie genre based music videos have worries used which also relate to the targeted audience but may put a dampened mood on the whole of the music video, an example of this would be worrying about exams, friends or money. We have took this feature out of our music video as we wanted ours to be the opposite of the lyrics and to overall connote the good times which teenagers have with their friends.
